F.A.Q’s & Benefits

Car Window Tinting – FAQ’s

Can I open my windows straight away after installation?

We recommend that you allow at least 48 hours before opening windows to allow the adhesive to cure.

Does the film effect the rear defroster of sat nav in my car?

No – these are not affected.

Does the tint bubble up after time?

No, we use only the best quality films and fit them professionally.

Do you fit the film to the rear window in one piece?

Yes. All windows are shrunk to fit in one piece.

Can the film be removed if I sell the vehicle?

Yes. All our films can be easily removed.

What can I clean my windows with?

Any glass cleaner that does not contain ammonia and a soft cloth.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. We guarantee the film against peeling, bubbling etc for as long as you own the vehicle.

Can you tint my car at home or place of work?

We work at a workshop where we can control the environment so that we can carry out the installation to the highest quality. We can not provide this service working on a driveway or at the roadside.

Are there any foreseeable problems?

Most cars have a series of raised dots known as dot matrix around fixed windows. This causes the film to sit slightly proud and gives the appearance of a silvery line. Unfortunately, this can not be helped and is nothing to worry about.

Also, although we work in controlled conditions, minute particles of airborne dust may settle on the windows whilst we are installing the film. Under normal conditions you will not even notice these but short of working in a vacuum, this is unavoidable.

Car Window Tinting – Benefits

All our installations are with a multi-layered film that protects your vehicle’s interior from the damaging effects of the sun.  This has the following benefits:

Heat Reduction

Up to a 60% heat reduction can be achieved compared to untinted glass.  Window films will help keep your vehicle cool, even after hours in the blazing sun by reflecting heat out of your vehicle and reducing the amount of direct sunlight entering your car.

Protection from UV rays

Our films block 99% of the sun’s UV rays offering protection for both you as a driver and passengers without the need for screen shades.

Reduce Fading

As our installations will block 99% of the sun’s harmful ultra violet (UV) rays.  This, together with the heat reduction will help reduce the fading of seats and carpets. It prolongs the life of all rubber, wood, vinyl and leather inside your vehicle. It also helps to protect your dashboard, mobile, music equipment and speakers.

Reduce Glare and Driver Fatigue

The film reduces potentially dangerous glare from the sun, headlights and reflective surfaces. The reduction of this glare can actually make your driving safer.

Increase Privacy and Security

Window tinting provides an increased level of privacy from the prying eyes of thieves.

Increase Safety

It will help to hold together broken glass if it is shattered in an accident. However don’t worry, it will not trap you in the car as it is very easy (and a lot safer) to push the glass OUTWARDS once it has broken. In contrast it is very hard to push it inwards, like a thief would, if they were trying to break into your vehicle.
